Hi! Welcome to my homepage.
About me
I'm Vláďa, but half of the people know me as Jajik. I'm a catholic, husband, software developer and more.
I have a computer science degree and a teaching degree in high school informatics from FI MU, where I also tutored functional programming for five years.
Nowadays, I work as a software engineer for Red Hat in the JWS/JBCS team.
I like to read books and listen to podcasts in my free time. I also like new technologies, so I try to stay up-to-date with the latest news. As a scout, I enjoy going out to nature, but unfortunately, I don't do it often enough.
This website is my experiment with two main objectives in mind. I wanted to have a place to share valuable sources and recommendations for books, podcasts, lectures, etc. I also wanted a place where I could share my thoughts, although I only did it a little, as you can see in the poor blog section.
Projects
There are a few projects I took part in that are worth mentioning if anybody is interested.
- kapitolyinformatiky.cz
- a website I created for my master's thesis contains selected chapters on high-school informatics for Czech students.
- ModCluster
- an inteligent load-balancer, I work mainly on the httpd module side
- RoFI
- an open source modular robotic platform developed at FI MU – I wrote my bachelor's and master's theses on networking of the platform
